The Blane Valley Energy Efficiency Project is underway. The project aims to reduce the carbon emissions from our community by helping households to adopt energy-saving measures.  These will also reduce the household energy costs ... cutting carbon, cutting costs.

You could save £100-£500 per year!  Don't miss this opportunity.

We are offering householders an energy usage survey and appropriate advice, as well as a thermal image picture of your home to help highlight whether additional insulation would be appropriate - and helping to get grant funding if you wish to take action!

The thermal image picture below illustrates low heat loss from a well-insulated house on the left, compared with greater heat loss from the house on the right.

From September 2009 onwards you will see the project vans in the village and will be offered the opportunity to take part.

You can find out more about the project using the menus above.  We will be prioritising those householders who have contacted us to say that they wish to be involved. So call the freephone number or email us to book your slot!
